How my ichi-nen relationship with a Japanese guy ended

He is Japanese.
He lives in Shibuya.
He is a typical Japanese salaryman who loves nomikai on Friday night afterwork.
He is an otaku, mostly to games.
He is smart, but could be reckless sometimes.

We've been in a relationship since 2017. It all started when we made a match in T1nder while I was doing Student Exchange in Japan (February). We talked online for quite some time, he helped me a lot when I did solo trip in Southern Japan. I didn't have any intention to meet him at first, partly because he didn't look too good-looking in his photos (nee gomen ne!), but we meet anyway. I proposed our meeting to be in a halal ramen shop near Akihabara (March). We met in the station, typical encounter point for Japanese people I guess. Aaand he looked good. I mean, he lost some weight and quite good looking, maybe because I like typical East-Asian faces. Idk haha.

That time we ate halal ramen, and I challenge him to eat the spicy one because he said he likes spicy things. Then he cried. The kakkoi thing is, he tried to hide his burning mouth and stomach by looking cool, while tears dripping out his face. Either it's kakkoi or kawaii, I laughed a lot. And maybe (juust maybe) it was my charming point in his eyes. Idk but my Korean friend told me that I look cute while laughing, while actually I feel so ugly lmao, whatever I'm happy anyway. Back to him, because I felt sorry for making him cry, I paid for the meal that time. Yes I am a reckless person, I was a broke exchange student from a third-world country, insist to treat a first-world salaryman. It might crush his masculinity at one point, but well it's just a cheap ramen anyway lol.

After the meal I asked him to accompany me finding some figurines that my friend asked for in Akiba, his second home. It was frustrating. At one point, I managed to buy something, then I was freakin' busy with that accomplishment, I'm not caring abt my bag anymore. When I just expect my bag to follow me from the cash register (the strap's on me, it would follow me anyway), he picked it up and helped it be beside me in a delicate-way (I can't put it in a proper wordings sorry!). Anyway, that act melted my heart to think that he is such a gentleman (most Japanese guys would do this kind of thing I guess, however this is rare to be found among Indonesian men, so I found it respectable). Before we parted ways, I gave him a bracelet that I bought in my hometown (I gave it to almost every person I befriended in Japan). On the way home, he messaged me with the picture of that bracelet in his hand, saying thank you and how he liked it. Cute. It could be nerve-wracking for a girl to message first after a date, right? But that kind of frustration went away with his act of messaging first (and only minutes away from when we parted ways).

Who were you?

I used to wonder how could people meet at some point in their life and then decided to walk their paths together. I used to think maybe it's better to be with someone who'd been with you through the mud and seen how much you've grown. But now I know it could also be fun other ways.

One day in your life, your path could be crossed with someone you've never ever met before, they don't know anything about you or your past or your background. But they see you by who you are at that time, and it interest them. They didn't know what made you who you are now, but that doesn't matter, no? As long as they would like to be go through anything life has in the box with you.

Problems and problems

I spent a month doing internship in Japan last February. Right now I am in the middle of waiting for the final decision of whether they’ll take me as their permanent employee or not.
March is undeniably the most favorable time of the year for me, considering my birthday is also being in the said month. Nevertheless, right now I am feeling a bit suffocated as a result of uprising problems I faced these days.

Throwback: Hiroshima (1)

I went to Hiroshima on my previous birthday. Using Seishun 18 kippu, it was one of the destination of my 5-day solo trip in Southern Japan (March 20-25th, 2017), apart from Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara.

I don't quite remember, but I think I told my parents that I'm going to be travelling alone. I also asked a friend who had experience of living in Japan if it's possible to go from Chiba, the city where I lived in, to Hiroshima in a day. She said it's doable, but a lil' bit too ambitious. But I did go anyway.

Another Life Update

I know. It's been quite a long time since the last time I wrote a blogpost.
Recently I met my ex-boyfriend, and as you could expect from unfinished story (well, it was actually at my side only) and undefined closure, I did have emotional outbursts. I cried a lot while listening to IU's Ending Scene. I know, so stupid.
But I think I am in the state of thinking clearly right now so I could pour my feelings to this written post. To have a closure for myself. To end this thing nicely.

Life... update?

Hola it's Trya again! (Yes, I'll write my name that way from now on lol)

So, it's been like, more than two months since I left Japan. My plan to write at least one blog post everyday while I was in Japan? Ha! It ended up to be just a plan. I made travel-diary in Instagram tho, with hashtag #トリアの日本旅行 which literally translated as Tria's Japan Trip. My feeds are messed up tho, unlike those cool kids nowadays who could be give 'aesthetic' touch to theirs. Lol ain't got no time for that!

Point is, I didn't write too much about my journey but it really does mean so much. It's my second time abroad, the first time was to France, in which I decided to make a blog. Yes, this one. It was 2008 and my writing is so 'alay' that I still used 'q' to replace 'ku' which meaning refers to myself (I). Lol.
