Duolingo

So I just installed an app named Duolingo in my phone cause some of my pals said it is useful to learn new languages. Actually they point out that my life has became useless these days so maybe I should do something else rather than just sleeping and watching dramas (okay).

Unlike other people on the internet who could learn multiple languages at the same time in an account, I could just choose one. I haven't find the way to add another course, so I was just making the best of it. Since I possess two phones, I chose French and Dutch course.

Though I have an A2 certificate for French, my skill has been worsen and worsen everyday due to my laziness. Who am I kidding? Even my English never improved from elementary-level (crying inside). For French course in Duolingo, I took the placement test first, but it turns out that my French vocabs are that poor I just got level 3.

In Dutch, I studied it from the basics. And I enjoyed it. The vocabs I learned so far are:

man / men : man / mannen
woman / women : vrouw / vrouwen
girl / girls : meisje / meisjes
boy / boys : jongen / jongens
child : kind
I : ik
you : je / jij / jullie (plural)
we : we / wij
he : hij
she : ze / zij
and , or : en , of
eat , drink : eet , drink
a , the : een , de (sometimes het)
apple : appel
bread : brood
milk : melk
juice : sap
water :  water
sandwich : boterham
rice : rijst
read : lezen
newspaper : krant

I am still confused on how to differentiate the using of 'je / jij', 'we / wij' and 'ze / zij' though, the examples don't explain much about them and again, I googled it, and it is said that they are marked and unmarked pronouns. What the heck is that? I'll skip that for now. Also for the word 'the' ('de' or 'het'), it needs deeper comprehending and I am too lazy to do that right now (peace out)

And the grammars I've known so far:
- drink % eat -
(I) Ik drink % Ik eet
(you) je drink / jij drink / jullie drinken % je eet / jij eet / jullie eten
(we) we drinken / wij drinken % we eten / wij eten
(he) hij drinkt % hij eet
(she) ze drinkt / zij drinkt / zij drinken (plural) % ze eet / zij eet / zij eten

Today, I ate fried rice for lunch (and it was the only food I ate today, actually). I wonder how to express it in Dutch. I know how to say it in present tense (FYI it would be "Ik eet gebakken rijst"), but I haven't learn past tense in Dutch (you bet! I just learned it for two days). So I looked in google translate, and it turned out to be "At ik gebakken rijst". So how could the verb tense 'eet' transform to 'at' and switch position with subject in this sentence? Guess I need to find it out soon!

(about) Personality

Don’t you think it’s great to meet someone who could read you like a book?

Just now, I found myself hating psychologist so much. So damn much.
I did not make it to the next stage of the recruitment of this one company, my step was ended right after the psychological tests. As a matter of fact, I do feel confident about my tests until I met this one pyschological interviewer. Long story short, she made me hate her. See? I am not the kind of someone who look at people and just hate them without a reason, but she made me hate her! And all psychologists in general! So I was thinking, psychologists are overrated. I mean, who are they to go around and point one person out of the other and decide that one is best among them? You gotta be kidding me!

Two days ago, I went to another psychological interview for another company. I was not very excited though, but then I came. And I was late. I was waiting for about a quarter of an hour until this one lady called me. Her name was Ayu, she asked me few questions about myself and the next thing I know, this interview was become a personal consultation.

It started with a simple question, “How are you feeling right now?” And it led me to say that I was –indeed- stressed out with my life recently. Then she felt the urge to speak this truth about me, about what she saw in me. And she read me just like a book.

She said that it was normal for me to be stressed out, cause I was always being a ‘star’. I wasn’t take it for granted though –like what I was thinking recently- , she reminded me that I always have this huge encouragement to succed whenever I feel like I need one. And yes, I need to work on my moody-self. Underlined.

She also pointed out that sometimes, I could be too egocentric and only care for my own achievements. Some jobs might need this kind of person, but others also need a person who is capable of working in a team. She did not said that I was lack of softskills to do this, cause I am the type of a person who could do almost everything IF I WOULD. Once again, I need to work on my temper.

And ooh, I am someone who concern too much about my surroundings, she said. The work environment could affect me much, maybe too much.

Another thing about me, she said, I am an honest-to-godness person. This is good actually, but sometimes, people want to see what they want to see. Sometimes we need to dress, speak, and think like what anyone else want us to. For this matter, I am not quitely sure I could do that.

My meeting with her makes me think much about what I want to do next. To be honest, I could not clearly imagine what will I be in two or three years from now. Mbak Ayu advised me to think about that and then be focused on it, rather than taking all opportunities which come to me.

Maybe I’ll consider taking my master’s degree. Or not. I don’t know.

(kembali) Ke Jalan yang Benar

Tria kesambet?

Tinggal manusianya aja yg mau nangkep apa nggak.

Jadi intinya apa Tri?

Karena gue tau gimana susahnya nyari kerja), dapat tekanan sana-sini buat kuliah lagi (dimana guenya gamau, please, kalau gue ada yang nemenin [baca: suami *blush*] gue mau da kuliah meski di Zimbabwe jugak!), dan saat gue down se-down down nya gitu gue ditinggal sama si penyemangat satu satunya (satu-satunya yang paling bisa bikin semangat lagi maksudnya, but it was for my own good so I got that goin' for me which is nice *muka Bill Murray*).

IH YA ALLAH SUBHANALLAH BANGET YA SI TRIA.

Ya intinya begitu lah, gue disadarkan kalau ibadah gue tuh masih kacau balau, kalau hidup gue masih awut-awutan, masih ga punya landasan yang tepat buat menjalani kehidupan dunia *ceileh*.

Imaan is being okay with never knowing why some things happen...because you trust in Allah's plan for your life.

Alhamdulillah yah~

Ini ceritanya tadi gue mau nulis sesuatu tentang koyo, eh tapi gajadi soalnya pemahaman tentang capsaicin dan metil salisilat nya belum lengkap. Terus mau nulis tentang sunnah Rasulullah SAW, tapi tulisannya malah ngalir kesini. Yasudahlahya~
